Project Overview

Have you ever wished for a simpler, more connected way to get around your community—one where you’re not just a passenger but part of a shared journey? That’s the vision behind Neighbours Ride, the sister app of Neighbours LLC. Designed as a community-driven transportation platform, Neighbours Ride connects users with others heading in the same direction, making travel not just convenient but more sustainable and social.

I had the exciting opportunity to work on the site and design prototypes for both the web app and mobile experience, shaping the way users interact with the platform. From intuitive booking flows to seamless ride coordination, my role focused on creating an interface that makes shared transportation effortless and engaging.

GOALS

The goal was to create interesting layouts that catered towards the client's needs: renting out your cars to the public and getting rides.

Prototyping with Brand Identity
During the beginning stages, I worked alongside the client to create a structural sitemate that was solid enough for his developers to understand and execute. He had had issues with the developers in the past and wanted to minimize the issues this time around.

After speaking to the client, we decided that adopting a minimalistic design approach for a website was the best way to go. I strived to achieve a clean and uncluttered user interface that prioritizes simplicity and clarity. By employing strategic use of negative space and minimal visual elements, I strived to create an intuitive and effortless user experience.

The client's brand colors play a crucial role in maintaining visual consistency and reinforcing brand identity throughout the website. Through careful consideration of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy, I ensure that the design elements harmonize with the brand colors, effectively communicating the desired message and enhancing the overall user interface.

I spent quite a bit of time sketching during the begining stages. The client had a rather creative eye but lacked the time to create it themselves. I eventually was able to create a base sketch that he was satisfied with.

The entire layout was done on through figma, and the graphics were edited through photoshop. I utilized the color scheme of the brand, ultimatly making  green and yellow the primary colors.

Another part of my job was creating the content that was placed throughout the site

I started with a basic layout, capturing the initial needs that a user would need when accessing this a webapp like this. Things like being able to choose what the  user is looking for, like the type of ride and destination, time, and date.

I moved on to more comlicated aspects of the layout, like the profile, login, and signin, and stated the major purposes the site offered it's users.

Onc e the site was completed, I moved on to creatig the prototypes for the application
